Electricity Charge Increase

Date posted: Friday 25th July 2008

As you may or may not be aware there have been huge increases in the electricity market recently.

Unfortunately, this has meant a big increase in the unit cost of our electricity and therefore has affected the prices that we need to charge on to our customers.

Premier Marinas is classified as a commercial user and although we pass the power on to you as a leisure/domestic user, it means we are charged by our suppliers at a commercial rate.

The good news is that at Premier Marinas we offer electricity at cost so this helps to soften the blow slightly, but just to warn you that as from 1st August you will see a change in your electricity rate on your bill.

We are sorry to have to pass on news like this particularly in the current economic climate when we could all really do with some good news, but we would like to tell you that we are looking at ways we can help customers with the cost of boating. In particular we are looking at further enhancing our Premier Advantage scheme.

If you have any further questions please do contact your marina office where any of the staff will be happy to help. The new rate coming in to effect on 1st August will be 17 pence per unit consumed.
