Falmouth in winter time

Marina: Falmouth Inside

Your boat is snug in her winter berth and you may have resigned yourself not to board her again until the early Spring of next year....

...but aren't you missing those crisp, bright winter days where you could be among spectacular Cornish scenery?

Falmouth, the surrounding coastline and area still offers plenty to do in winter time! Plus there's something quite magical about cornwall in the cold winter months, perhaps it's because you get to enjoy the popular destination almost to yourself as the summer crowds diminish?

After walking some of the coastal path, return to your boat, all warm from the heating you left on in the morning, maybe later a meal and some wine in the Marina Bar and Restaurant.

Those of you with a need for some tropical warmth but a dislike of airports, why not visit the tropical biodome at the Eden Project? http://www.edenproject.com/

Close your eyes, smell the topical forest, feel the warmth and dream you are there. Over the winter months and around Christmas they are offering a host of seasonal treats - from ice skating to festive banquets!

Alternatively, drive out to a friendly cornish pub and sit by an open fire with a drink while waiting for a dish of delicious local mussels.

It could be that you arrive at the boat and just think this is a beautiful day, we could just motor up the Truro river. Could the tide be right to berth at The Pandora's jetty in Restronguet Creek and sup a pint?

Is a boatless Winter always to be? Maybe not.

For more ideas about things to do in and around Falmouth, please contact our marina staff who will be happy to point you in the direction of a good day out!
