Premier launches RYA Active Marina Programme
Premier Marinas has joined the RYA Active Marina Programme which aims to help Berth Holders to get the most out of boating with a suite of dedicated activities that enhance the social side of marina life as well as offer subsidised training opportunities for 2012.
Through a new programme of events and opportunities in all Premier Marinas, you can take part in practical training workshops to build your knowledge of boating - including 'own boat' tuition. This could be a refresher on manoeuvring and berthing, crew training, or even a specialist workshop - helping you to tackle the things that challenge you most.
Alongside workshops, the Active Marina Programme will also present you with the opportunity to socialise with other boat owners in the marina - enjoy cruising in company and spending time with like-minded people at social events.
Workshops include:

- Manoeuvring practice in the marina
- Crew training and development days
- Partners day
- Locking in and out practice
- Seamanship skills
- Local pilotage
- Basic navigation and more

Sovereign Harbour
Passage planning and pilotage 21 April, 10.00-12.00 - £10 chargeA two-hour session at Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club for skipper, family or crew covering passage, planning and pilotage in general with a focus on a cruise to Brighton Marina. Includes tea and coffee.
Cruise in company 19/ 20 May - £13.50

Two-hour own-boat tuition workshops for you, your family or crew, focusing on improving boat handling skills including close quarter manoeuvres and berthing techniques.

Join like-minded Berth Holders and enjoy own-boat tuition.
Passage planning and pilotage - 20 July - Free of charge
A two-hour session at the Yacht Club covering passage planning and pilotage in general with focus on a trip to Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne. Reserve your overnight berth at the Marina Reception.
Sail for Gold 'Push the Boat Out' - 21/22 July - Cruise in Company
Join in with the RYA as they aim to get as many boats on the water as they can - enjoy a 'Cruise in Company' to Sovereign Harbour. Plus, join us for a get together at the Yacht Club.

Push the Boat Out/ "Mid Summer Mayhem" Day - 21 July
Join in with the RYA as they aim to get as many boats out of the marina, round the nab tower and back again and then join us for a summer party in the evening.
