Boat handling
There are various options available to you depending on your requirements.
Lift, scrub and block off
We can safely lift your vessel ashore using our boat lifting equipment which is all operated by specially trained staff. On lifting your boat we wash the hull of the boat with a high pressure jet that removes most light weed and marine growth.
Once complete we will 'block' your vessel off in a cradle/props or barrels and boat legs/props. The timing of the last lift of the day is variable on what type of vessel and lift. Falmouth lifting dock is also subject to tidal restrictions. Marina staff will be happy to advise on charges and timing.
One Hour Lift up to 12.2m
This is hold in slings for 1 hour only. This service is for people who want their boat's hull cleaned with our high pressure wash. You can fit anodes or change a prop as long as it can be achieved within the hour. One hour lift is ideal for race boats.
Lift over tide
Providing the tide times allow we can lift in the late afternoon and launch in the morning. The boat will be held in slings but the keel put on blocks.
Other work
If you require your mast to be stepped on relaunch we can arrange this with our on site crane or jib crane in addition to this we offer towage and/or marina assistance to berth. Other marine contractors services may be required and are available on site i.e. valeting, chandlery, rigging.
Lift from trailer to yard or yard to trailer
As lift.
Movement Ashore
If your vessel is blocked on wood or props and you or your contractors need your vessel moving in the yard i.e. from our undercover shed to yard, we can move you with our travel hoist or boat mover and offer any other services at the same time i.e. craneage for engines, masts etc.
Mastwork
Stepping and unstepping masts must be done by qualified riggers. Falmouth Marina provides a crane and driver on multiples of 30 minutes crane hire basis. Masts can be stepped/unstepped ashore (depending on height) or afloat.
Storage
Falmouth allows 3 months ashore during October-March. This is to allow everyone that wants to come ashore a space. Boats in the Summer months can stay ashore for longer periods
We have room under cover for one boat up to 12 metres, we hope to create 3 more 12 metre undercover spots later this year.
Method: boats up to 15 tons are placed with the boat mover, larger boats with the 30 ton hoist.
All storage for multihulls charged at 1½ monohull rate.
